Cherry Pop

Hi!

I made this look a while back, but keep forgetting to post here, so here it is.
It was basically a dark smokey eye with a pop of cherry red color, or cranberry. And if you read my previous posts you will know that cranberry is one of my favorite eye shadow colors :)

I used the 28 Colors Shimmer Eyeshadow Palette from Born Pretty Store
This website have everything! Makeup, nail polish, nail art tools, clothing, jewelries, you name it!
Be sure to check it out, I'm sure you'll love it ;)
And don't forget to use the code SSH10 to get discounts :D

You can find the palette that I used HERE

So here's what the palette looks like:

Born Pretty Store 28 Colors Shimmer Eye Shadow Makeup Palette #3007-2

Born Pretty Store 28 Colors Shimmer Eye Shadow Makeup Palette #3007-2

All the colors are shimmery and pigmented, I love this palette. One thing I would suggest is to use this in swiping motion, rather than patting it. Swiping these shadows makes it pops out even more which is awesome :D

And here's the look that I made..

And I started to get bored...

EOTD: Red + BH Cosmetics Take Me To Brazil Palette + Palladio Brow Pencil

Hello!

If you have read my previous post, you'd know how much I love cranberry eyeshadows. Today I went for something similar, which is red. I used the matte red color from BH Cosmetics Take Me To Brazil Palette.

Oh, and I will also be raving about Palladio cosmetics! It's a Canadian cosmetic brand that has just caught my eyes. I got a couple Palladio products and so far I'm loving them all! I seriously recommend this brand ;)

BH COSMETICS TAKE ME TO BRAZIL PALETTE
I've been eyeing the BH Cosmetics palette for a long time. Had bad experience buying an affordable eyeshadow palette that looks like they have amazing colors. But I keep seeing people raving about BH Cosmetics. So I thought I'll give it a try. And honestly, this is by far the best affordable eyeshadow palette I've ever had! The colors are mostly matte (Yay!) and all of them are super pigmented. I'm not gonna do a swatch or anything as you can just easily Google it and you'll see thousands of review already :p
Lazy ass.
LOL

PALLADIO BROW PENCIL IN 'TAUPE'
And Hello Palladio!
This Palladio brow pencil has a spoolie which is very handy to brush out your brows on-the-go. I also LOOOOVE the color Taupe. It's a greyish brown that is not too red, perfect for eyebrows. I honestly think no matter how light or dark your hair is, Taupe color will always works for your brows!
The staying power is also nice. I've been using it for a couple days to work and it didn't budge. Yay for Palladio!
I'm currently in love with this brand! I used the Herbal Foundation and Concealer and I think it's amazing! I definitely recommend it. Will try to do a review on them soon ;)

Skinfood Salmon Darkcircle Concealer

Thanks to my roots, I have a very dark under eye circles, and have been trying some concealers and correctors to cover them up. Keep in mind that concealers sometimes cannot work the same way as correctors. We see many brands have foundation or stuff in purple, yellow, green, blue, and pink. I was wondering what was that for. That's what we call correctors. They're supposed to correct your face undertone. I'm not gonna talk much about that, as there's already sooo many information on the web about that. I just wanna share my favorite correctors for now :)

I've been using the Skinfood Salmon Darkcircle Concealer and loving it. The color is a bit orange / salmon, which is perfect  for correcting the under eye circle, so I'd prefer this product to be called corrector, but well...
The texture is very creamy and easy to blend, but the thing I love the most from this product is the way it sets on the face. It makes the skin quite radiant and glowing, so I don't need to use any highlighter.

The coverage is medium, so sometimes I still put a little concealer on top of it when the dark circles are really bad, but mostly I just use it on its own. If you're using mascara (either top or bottom or both lashes), I recommend to apply powder on top of the corrector, to prevent the mascara from running.

Hope it helps!

Clinique All In One Colour Palette

This palette is amazing. Really amazing. The packaging is sleek and sophisticated, the products included are great, the colors are beautiful and pigmented. I'm going to break it down one by one so I can give detailed information to all of you guys wondering.

The first row contains the High Impact mascara in black, which is the best mascara from Clinique. Of course it came in a small/travel packaging in this palette. This mascara is not waterproof, meaning it's great for everyday use, because it won't damage your lashes. I would suggest to coat this with your other waterproof mascara if you want it to last all day. It also gives the lashes more definition, because it is really really black. I find that it's kinda hard to find a really black mascara these days.

The second row contains 5 Long Last Lipstick (L-R): Creamy Nude, Pink Peach, Blushing Nude, Party red, and Pinkberry. All of them are matte, which is great (for me).

The third row contains a dual-ended eyeshadow brush and a cute little retractable lip brush. I never used these but it will come in handy when you're going out and need to touch up.

The fourth row contains the Color Surge Eyeshadow Quad in Spicy. 3 shades of brown and a soft pink. Awesome and super pigmented as well. You can basically create any look with it.

The fifth row is retractable, it's like a drawer under the first layer of this palette. So you pull it out, and it contains two of the greatest product in this palette.
The first one is Super Powder Double Face Powder in Matte Beige, which is a powder foundation. I really really really love it. You don't need to apply any other product to the skin, this is all you need. And it does a great job on oil control, it gives a matte finish without looking streaky.
The second one which I also really really really love, is the Soft-Pressed Powder Blusher in Mocha Pink. It's really soft and stays on really well.
This retractable layer also contains a powder sponge and a blush brush.

I would totally recommend this for those looking for a go-to palette. You can get everything you possibly need in one package. Great job, Clinique!

Hope it helps!

Sephora Sun Disk Bronzing Powder

This bronzing powder comes in a huge packaging. Like the name suggested, it's literally the size of a disk! If you got this, you won't be looking for another bronzer for a very looooong time. It's a cheaper way of purchase, really.
The product itself is also amazing. It's not too shimmery, I even thought it was matte when I first opened it. The shimmer is really subtle you need to look at it closely to see the glitter.
The color is awesome, it comes in various colors, so make sure you got the right one, otherwise it will be a disk-size waste of product.

Hope it helps!

Coastal Scents Camo Quad Color Corrector

This color corrector palette is amazing. It comes in 4 colors: mint green, pale yellow, lavender, and sky blue in a plastic packaging the size of your palm. The colors are well-pigmented, in a cream texture.

What's this exactly? It works like a concealer, only we use it before applying foundation.
How does this thing works? First, we have to understand the rules of the Color Wheel Chart:

color wheel. colors that are face-to-face will cancel out each other. for example; green will cancel out red.
Based on the color wheel, we use this palette to counteract each color we want to even out. So basically it helps to even out the skin tone before applying foundation.

- The mint green shade counteracts redness from rosacea, blemishes, or capillaries around the nose and cheek areas.
- The pale yellow shade is used to conceal black, blue, or purple imperfections such as bruises.
- The lavender shade evens out yellowish skin tones, corrects olive skin, and offers an overall balanced finish and healthful glow.
- The sky blue shade counteracts orange tones typically caused from uneven or excessive tanning or self-tanning.

Hope it helps :)

Stila Contouring Trio

I was really excited when i got this. The packaging, the fact that it contains 3 colors, and the price. This contour trio, as the name suggested, helps you to create contour for the face. Eyes, cheeks, nose, wherever you need it.
It comes in a thin square carton box. You opened it, and the product is packaged in an aluminum compact with mirrors, and little lamps. Yes, little lamps. That's why I bought it, i guess. Haha. The lamps automatically lights up when you opened the case. But they keep a sticky tape on the button so it won't turn on all the time. Just open the tape when you need the lamps.

three shades: flash - a shimmery warm brown, great for bronzer or when you want to have dewy/glowy skin, light - a light brown, to highlight areas that you want to emphasize, like the bridge of your nose and the forehead (T-zone), dark - a dark brown, to darken areas that you want to sink back in (cheekbones, eye crease)

All in all, I love this product. The colors are beautiful, as it doesn't have too much red in it, like many other bronzer.
